The Port of London Authority (PLA) must ensure that anyone applying for a Licence under section 66 of the Port of London Act 1968 (as amended) to permanently construct, place or retain works on the River Thames is capable of managing and discharging the various obligations within that licence safely, responsibly and lawfully.

This requirement also applies to individual(s) who have been assigned a Licence, or who become directors of a company that assumes responsibility for works under an existing RWL. It is the responsibility of anyone who assumes responsibility under these circumstances to inform the PLA accordingly and to submit the self declaration form to [email protected].
As part of the application process, we may ask you to provide further information to support the statements you have declared to the PLA. Non–compliance in providing requested further information, may result in your application being refused by the PLA.
