Active Thames Webinar

Paddlesports with a visual impairment

Catch up now: Hear from blind and visually impaired paddlers and their coaches who took to the water this summer with the help of Active Thames funding. Tower Hamlets Canoe Club hope their project and this webinar inspires other clubs to consider how they can become more inclusive.

The Active Thames 2021 survey asked coaches “What do you consider to be the biggest barriers to being an effective coach?” A lack of additional coaches was listed as the most common barrier.

Following the pandemic, some people left casual coaching positions in favour of more secure employment. We have provided this database to strengthen the coaching sector and make it more simple for activity providers to access support.

Read the survey.

We’re working to connect watersports coaches with more opportunities to work with athletes in London, Kent and Essex!

In just a few minutes you can list your areas of expertise and allow Active Thames site users to find and contact you about training options.
